So I’m getting ready to pitch my first novel to Hollywood movie producers on July 13th, which is only 17 days away….(Eek!) From what I gather I have to summarize my book in an intriguing way in order to catch the interest of movie producers in less than two minutes. I then get the opportunity to go from table to table for an opportunity to pitch seven different agents in a manner that is referred to as “speed dating.” If I survive the pressure cooker experience by not keeling over due to extreme stress and hopefilled terror, I shall be happy to relate in the aftermath what it was like to lay it all on the line in some sort of American Idol endeavor for aspiring authors.
