I am blogging about not knowing what I’m doing. Which is a profound statement really. It could apply to many, many aspects of my life, but right now it pertains to trying to link my blog to my Amazon Author site. I cannot simply put the URL, it has to be the URL RSS. And then they give samples. And one of the samples had “/atom” something-ish at the end of it. And somewhere in the RSS of what I feel to be an SOS I saw the word “atom” on my WordPress site, and and I am slapping that on the end of my URL in an effort to see if it works though I don’t know “atom” from “eve” in any of this.
But, the beauty is, if this particular blog shows up on Amazon in 24 hours, I GUESSED RIGHT!
And if I guessed wrong, I will then know for certain that URL means “Utterly Relying on Luck.” Which means I am self-teaching and have decoded at least one technological term, but also I am clearly unlucky. And alas, I know not what RSS is…perhaps it stands for “Really Seriously Secret,” because the average lay person cannot decode such things.
But regardless. Check out, “The Shimmering” by H.D. Anyone on Amazon. And maybe by some miracle this blog will be there. And if not, at least there will be an “RSS” or “Really Scary Story” to check out… because “The Shimmering” is a teen ghost story of unparalleled profundity.
Thank you. Both for your pity and your patronage.
